In the above referenced work, the calculation of mass transfer coefficient was given. The results (Figure 2) show that the addition of Fe3O4 nanoparticles enhanced the mass transfer coefficient of CO2 absorption. However, too high concentration of Fe3O4 nanoparticles (>0.3g/L) caused a reduction of the mass transfer.
The influence of the particle size (1 nm, 20 nm and 300 nm) showed small influence on the mass transfer of CO2 absorption, although a slight enhancement of mass transfer was observed with the increase of particle size (Figure 3).
