“A typical TGA curve for CO2 adsorption capacity measurement is shown in Fig. 4. At stage 1, the sample was pre-treated at 105 °C for 30 min under N2. The weight loss at this stage was attributed to the loss of absorbed water. In stage 2 the sample was cooled to the required temperature for the CO2 adsorption test. A slight weight gain was caused by N2 adsorption on the sample. After the sample temperature was stable (stage 3), the gas input was switched to CO2 and the associated weight gain was assumed to be due to the adsorbed CO2.”
