“The effect of reaction temperature on the rate was assessed for limestone’s decomposition under different CO2 partial pressures of 10.1, 20.3 and 30.4 kPa as shown in Fig. 4. For each case the CGM and UCM were fitted to the experimental data, denoted by the solid and dashed lines respectively in the same graph. As expected, by increasing the temperature, the decomposition reaction needs less time to be completed under the same CO2 partial pressure. Regarding the fitting to the experimental data, the two models adequately follow the evolution of conversion in all cases.”
