In the above paper, the influence of Ni concentration on CO2 absorption efficiency using ammonia was investigated. The results (Figure 7) showed that the CO2 adsorption efficiency was slightly reduced from 89.9 to 88.9% with the increase of Ni concentration from 0.01 to 0.09 mol/L, due to the reduced availability of free ammonia.
However, the CO2 desorption efficiency was slightly enhanced (Figure 10) with the increase of Ni concentration. This might be due to the decomposition reaction of NH4HCO3 in solution was promoted.
